Windsurf RYA Intermediate – Course 1

Windsurf RYA Intermediate – Course 1

This session is designed for sailors who are confident with the basics and ready to build stronger, more efficient windsurfing skills. Course 1 focuses on improving stance, sail control, and board balance in moderate winds, helping you sail with more confidence and less effort.

You’ll develop reliable launching and landing skills, sail comfortably on all points of sail, and be introduced to using a harness to reduce fatigue and improve control. The session also covers faster tacks and consistent non-planing gybes, giving you smoother, more fluid manoeuvres on the water.

By the end of the course, you’ll feel more relaxed, balanced, and in control, even as conditions become more challenging, forming a solid foundation for further intermediate progression within the Royal Yachting Association National Windsurfing Scheme.
