The RYA Youth Sailing Stage 3 course advances the sailors from basic skills. This exciting course is run on the sea from our centre at Brighton Marina and is suitable for Youths aged 10 to 16. They should of  already completed the Stage 1 & 2.

Once they have completed the Stage 3 they can go onto Stage 4

Kids will:

• More advanced sailing skills
• Crewing and Helming
• Boat handling under sail and Power
• Start sailing without the instructor onboard and teaching from the safety boat, learning more independence onboard

Course content includes:

• Rigging
• Motoring in and out of the Marina
• Hoisting, setting and trimming the sails
• Sailing techniques like tacking and Gybing
• Sail around a triangular course for all points of sail
• Mooring practice
• Sailing theory
