RYA Sailing Dinghy Level 2 Coastal

RYA Sailing Dinghy Level 2 Coastal

Who is this course for:

The Dinghy Level 2 is the next step after RYA Level 1. The course helps build confidence and develop your sailing skills.

About Course:

This Level 2 course aims to give you all the basic knowledge of sailing and safety. By the end of the course, you will be capable of sailing a boat without an instructor on board in light winds. On the RYA Dinghy Sailing Level 2 course, your skills will improve as we introduce you to the five essentials of sailing: balance, trim, centreboard, sail setting, and course made good.

On our sailing courses, we use our RS Ventures and Delphia 24s. These boats are keelboats, which prevents capsizing. With their great performance, you will progress quickly and confidently. Once you've complete Level 2, you can join our Silver Sail membership scheme where you can practice and hire the boats either during one of our supervised clinics or by booking a two-hour hire at any time during the week.

Practice is exactly what you will want after gaining all these skills during the course. With some additional time on the water, you can then move on to Level 3, where you will be introduced to a third sail on board, the asymmetric spinnaker.
